Apptic Labs built the PaperStack app as a Freemium app. This SERVICE is provided by Apptic Labs at no cost and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

1. Information Collection and Use

For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.

The app does use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you and improve the app's performance and analytics. These third-party service providers include:

• Google Sign-In & Apple Sign-In: Used to securely authenticate your account. We collect your email address and display name for account management.
• Firebase Services (Auth, Analytics, Realtime Database): Used for core app functionality, storing study progress (like selected subjects), and analytics to improve the app.
• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): Used to provide relevant advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data.

2. AI Processing and Content Handling

PaperStack utilizes Google Generative AI to provide advanced features such as automatic grading, study chat, and answer feedback. Please note the following regarding how your data is handled:

• Data Transmission: Content you submit—such as text queries and images of scanned past papers or drawn answers—is transmitted to Google Generative AI via a secure API solely for the purpose of generating the requested educational feedback.
• No Model Training: The data transmitted via this API integration is processed statelessly and is not stored, retained, or used by Google to train its public foundational AI models.

3. Data Linkage & Usage

We link the following data to your account identity (e.g., your email/UID):

• Account profile information (Name, Username, Email)
• Educational preferences (O Level/A Level selection, subjects)
• Multiplayer match history and scores

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Deletion Rights

You have full control over your data. You can completely delete your account and all associated personal data directly within the PaperStack app by navigating to Settings > Delete Account.

Upon initiating deletion, your account credentials and all linked database records (including progress and profile) are permanently removed from our active systems.

5. Youth Privacy & Children's Data

Our Services are directed towards students preparing for IGCSE, O Level, and A Level examinations. In compliance with Apple's App Store Declared Age Range guidelines and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

6. Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
